Frozen Spider Homes

Moments of revelation
May be missed if we do not pay
Attention, open the blinds
Step outside, see the light
Like today
When I awoke after helping hang
Christmas lights on my sister’s tree
To a seriously special winter wonderland
Replete with God’s grace
At first I could not believe what I was seeing
And called Bhakti into the room to see.
As I discovered and got closer
Magic revealed itself to me in the form of white
Patterns that almost looked like plastic webs
Looked fake because they were too perfect.
As we looked closer, we realized indeed
They were real

And found more and more of them behind every hedge and shrub.
Intricately delicately beautiful
To view closely, the ice crystals
Tiny yet beautiful
At the same time
As if God had come down and made them himself
Last night
Pointed spikes of ice crystals sweetly adorned the now bare maple tree
In front while ice webs continued to reveal themselves
We got closer to see their beauty.
