Be the change

Where Is Respect?

Have you no respect?
Remove your voice from my ears and the palm's of your hands from my neck.
In that box, I won't fit.
Can't you see? What I am made of is more much than what you think.
I don't dream anymore, I create goals and go get.
My spirit is like water.
Yet, you have no respect.
Remove your lies from my heart, and your conforming ways from my spirit.
That box is to small. I will not fit.
You constantly tell me what to look like, and the parts of me I must forget.
I've displaced hate, now look at what I've become.
So many pointing fingers but not realizing.
You are the one.
Your attention is paid towards what I drive and not towards what drives me.
Though I will give my life for you.
You have no respect.
